Where are my deleted Photo's in On1 Photo RAW 2023.5
AnsweredNormally when I delete a photo (or file) from my system, wether it resides on my internal or external drive, it wil show up in the trash-bin, before I will permanently delete it.
I noticed that when a photo resides on the internal drive it indeed shows up in the trash However when I delete a photo on an external drive (not a network drive but attached directly with a cable) it doesn't show up in the trash-bin. Digging deeper it seems that the photo is removed immediately. Is that what it's supposed to, or is it hidden somewhere else ?
Thanks
Ben

It depends upon the drive. I have all of my photos on an external SSD and deleted files do show up in the trash however, when I work on my NAS files deleted from there are deleted immediately even from the Finder.

Hello Brian, speedy as I am getting used to -;)
On the external ssd-drive (not a NAS), I created a folder named " ON1 photolibrary", and within that folder I have several sub-folders. Deleting a photo from a subfolder using either the Grid view in Browse (or using the delete button in single view) they simply disappear from the drive ? and don't show up in the trash. The external drive is set to read/write for the account working on it.
On1 has permitted acces to external drives in the system setting "privacy and security".

What type of drive is it? Was it formatted for APFS?

It's a Samsung T5 SSD , 1 TB, connected with usb-c, formatted as APFS, GUID-partition
macOS Ventura 13.5, iMac M1, 16 GB

I am going to have to refer you to tech support Ben, sorry. If something deleted from the Finder shows up but not when deleted from the program I don't know what is going on. You should try the Delete Settings File feature as support will want you to do that before they proceed but this doesn't sound like something that will fix. You never know though.
