You can't go wrong with one of the Mac minis. They are rumored to be coming out with new M3 chips in the fall so prices for M1 & M2 systems should fall somewhat if you are willing/able to wait.

I like ArtIsRight on YouTube. You might be familiar with his work with BenQ. (I have one too.) He reviews the various models from a photographer's perspective and gives his opinions on do we really need this particular feature for photo editing. I can't share a link, sorry; it causes my posts to be blocked.

    OK many thanks Brian.

Can you say what Mac you use (I assume the M2?)

As I said as long as it will keep up with future releases on On1.

Not it a great rush to go over but you no Kids with new toys lol.

    Russ.

I've got a 1st gen M1 mini with 16GB RAM (the max then) and a 2TB ssd. All my pics are on an external SSD connected via a Thunderbolt 3 hub.

I have the same hardware and set-up as Brian and am happy with the speed etc of PR, which I have now been using as my main photo editing app for a couple of years.

I purchased a Wacom tablet recently but haven't got round to using it, as the learning curve seems quite steep!

I have a BenQ PD2705Q monitor, which is ample for my needs.

    Hi and thanks Ray.

I use a Wacom also. The best move I made.  Don't think you need to learn too much in the best way to use one if just for image editing the pen is so much easier IMO than a mouse

    Well that is it!!

Splashed out far to much on a Mac Mini M2 16GB 512Hd, Satechi Hub with extra SSD enclosure, 1 Meg additional storage in that, Belkin USB 4 cable.

Now  just have to learn the Mac system and using On1 on it.

I hope you meant 1 gig in that hub! 😉

Most hotkeys are the same only the Mac OS uses the Command key, with the cloverleaf symbol next to the spacebar, where Windows uses the Control key. I've seen some pretty good books like Mac OS for Windows Users that would be helpful.
