Using Shift Key when masking

Watching the recent video on using black and white, Dylan used the shift key while masking to create a "trail".  Where is that referenced in the user guide.  It's a new one for me.

  You would think it would be in the section on using the Brush tools but I'm not finding it in the User Guide either.

  Be sure to turn off the Pressure Sensitive if you are using a tablet & stylus. Otherwise it will take the initial click size to be the path size when it is drawn.

  You can also set a small size for the initial click and a larger size for the final click to create a cone shaped effect.
