That panel now works the way it used to. Whatever you were looking at before you started anything is what you will see when you do start editing. It will stay as you move from picture of a picture and module two module.

"it is rare that we want to see the info. We would rather prefer to see the Histogram right away"

It might be rare that you want to see the info, Marcel - and you might prefer to see the histogram.

    Keith,

I agree with Marcel.  I have my own preferences for what should be displayed as the starting value for different dialogs/values. Most other programs, not necessarily just image editing programs, tend to remember you're most recent display preferences.  ON1 has not been very good at following this norm.

It's not just a matter of skipping from one image to the next. If I had the histogram displayed the last time I was in a certain dialog, a well designed program would both remember and honor that setting.  And there is no way to set Preferred options for dialogs.

One more time—this has been fixed in the next release. And you're making Keith's point. Everyone has their own preferred view to work with.

Workspaces have been announced but not yet previewed. We will be able to customize our displays but to what degree remains to be seen.

Thanks Brian, I'm glad that it will be fixed in the next release :-)

I understand Keith's point, and I should have used "I" instead of "we". It's right that everyone might have a different preferred view, my choice might be different from another user, and the solution will accomodate everyone. Great!
