Can one still edit photos when a rented version of PR is expired ?
AnsweredHi,
I always owned PR since the early days. Every year, I hesitate between renting vs owning.
I know that I will always be able to use PR if I own it, even if I change to a new raw editor and don't buy new versions.
However, with rented versions, I assume I will not be able to use PR once I stop paying the annual rent, so I'll not be able to re-edit photos if needed. Is my assumption right?

N.B. Occasionally, I still use Nikon Capture NX2 several years after Nikon stopped maintaining it. I'm a pro photographer who sometimes is required to use digital photos made 15 or 20 years ago and processed with Capture NX (it is much faster than redoing the edits with another raw editor). I don't plan to change photo editor as I love PR, but I prefer to be on the safe side ;-)

Your assumption is correct. Once a subscription license expires the software will no longer run so you won't be able to export anything.
