Far as I know, you will be able to import Adobe DCP format camera profiles in the new 2024 version, but no mention of lens profiles.
I agree with you, the present lens profiles are not good, (I’m being polite)  lol

If you check out the Lensfun site you'll see they have ways for users to submit photos from newer lenses so new lens profiles can be made. You can download the software to create the profiles for yourself and submit them to the database so ON1 can include them in the next release.

I seriously doubt you're going to get ON1 to stop using a free source and start paying Adobe for theirs.

If you're really ambitious you can update your copy of the Lensfun database with the profile you've created for your lens and start using it right away rather than waiting for the company to release a new update.

I was under the impression that Lensfun was no longer used and that PR calculated the profiles themselves.

They do both. They added their own correction algorithm but do still include the Lensfun database.
