It worked for me. I downloaded it and installed it. I didn't use the application manager.

Did not work for me either.  Did NOT use the application manager.  Been waiting for hours on a fix.

Weird. I wonder why not? error 500 is normally a server side issue. Maybe it will work tomorrow.

They are having server issues, the app loads great when the servers are working.

Installation failed for me with the app manager. Got Error 503. Assuming this is an HTTP Server Error, it means the server is slammed and cannot process a request.

Not sure if anyone from ON1 reads this forum, but a progress bar on the app manager would be nice.

Having fought through two previous problems (ii.e., Direct X.issue, retouch cache migration crashing), I also got the -13 sign-in error.  Being out of the water, we may have to uninstall 24 and go back to 23 if these problems don't end soon.

I thought I was the only one! I got the DirectX error on my laptop running RTX 3070. Then got the -13 sign in error. Then tried to install on my desktop through the app manager and it announced the installation failed, then 2024 started...only to be told that I had exceeded my allowed registrations.

Yeah, this isn't a good step.

To be honest, I have issues with 2023 on my laptop and the dual windows...it crashes every...single...time. Tech support hasn't been much help even when logs have been sent in.

If you've exceeded your activations, just reset them. Usually it gives you that option in the same window, if not, you can do it from your ON1 account.

If you can't sign in to 2024, then you probably won't be able to sign into 2023 either. They use the same server. Once ON1 fixes the problem, they will both work properly.

Already reset…still the same issue. And 2023 behaves just fine. There is something amiss with 2024 and I’m doubtful it’s a simple server overload issue.

same problem with the 500 , -13 error message. I even downloaded from my account which listed the 2024 upgrade.  Very disappointed with ON1.

I finally got around the 500 , -13 error by going the free trial route, but I must say I am not impressed with 2024.  I will give it some more time but, right now, going back to 2023 is looking very appealing.  Having masking in separate windows is a PITA for these tired old hands.  Also, losing the Curves histogram is very aggravating.  I won't even go into Brilliance AI until I find out how to customize it so it doesn't turn pics muddy.  Bottom line: This release wasn't ready but I will give it a week.

Yeah I could do the trial as well but boy oh boy what a let down this experience has been.

    Also, where's the user manual?

They usually get posted a day or two after the product is released. I'm sure right now everyone is trying to get the server issues resolved before adding more stuff to download and complicate the issue.

BTW, I just received an email from the company apologizing for the problems.

What a disaster! Hey, ON1, did you not test this before you launched this update? Absolutely no excuse for login and activation errors on launch day. Houston, we have a problem!! Utterly ridiculous and unacceptable! Extremely disappointed and frustrated!

How do you test for a sudden load of tens if not hundreds of thousands of users flooding your system with both download and activation requests? The system responsible for scaling up to meet the demand failed. Shit happens.

Regarding a user manual:  They usually get posted a day or two after the product is released.

When you are making major changes to the UI, wouldn't you have the user manual published before you released the upgrade?

Cannot even upgrade from 2023 to 2024. No download offered - download window blank. The log continually shows this error:

    2023-11-03 13:13:10 ON1 - Event (-1) on line 424 of ONImageFormat.cpp
    2023-11-03 13:13:10 ON1 - Event (-1) on line 2533 of ONPreviewSvcRunnable.cpp
    2023-11-03 13:13:11 ON1 - Event (-1) on line 424 of ONImageFormat.cpp
    2023-11-03 13:13:11 ON1 - Event (-1) on line 2533 of ONPreviewSvcRunnable.cpp

So I have no idea what THAT is all about. Very disappointed - had been looking forward to this upgrade.

John, that depends upon whether or not you have enough staff to get that accomplished simultaneously with the development and whether or not you want to correct any last minute changes in the program. They layout of the Edit modules tabs were changed just 3 days ago. All the screenshots would be wrong if it had been published simultaneously.

All it takes is money! 😁

Richard, log files are pretty much useless here. There isn't any one who knows how to read them or what they mean.

Which program did that come from?

How are you attempting to do the download? I'm assuming you're using the Application Manager? Forget about that and go to ON1.com and click the button to download the Trial version. It downloads exactly the same installer from exactly the same location on their servers as using a dedicated link for owners.

    Hi Brian,
The files came from the ON1 RAW log - and coincide with when an upgrade is requested from within ON1 RAW 2023. You can find the log at the bottom of the HELP menu. The most recent additions to that log are at the very bottom. The entries I included are generated by the attempts at upgrading within 2023. I have the latest Application Manager installed too. I checked that already.
I cannot download a trial either. If I log into my ON1 account and try a download of 2024 - nothing happens.
There is no way I can seem to download ver 2024 no matter what I try.
