There's plenty of support available, more video guides available for this product than any other I have used, feel sure much more to come.

Plus you learn lots by using the product...get stuck in

I’m very disapointed too. Never before I have seen a new product launched without its User Manual. Specially when a lot of things have changed. Learning videos are not a structured User Manual, and remember that videos are ONLY spoken in English.

I found the lack of a user manual caused a good amount off wasted time, and frustration, trying to figure things out while also trying to get work done.

The User Guides usually take a few days after the program's release. I'm sure there will be one next week.

While the videos may not be a substitute for a manual each and every one of the new and modified features in 2024 have been shown and explained as to their operation. I've been using ON1 products since they were called Genuine Facials and I still watch each new video that is produced and I've learned something from them all.

Videos are no good when you just want to know where the button is for a particular feature. How many hours of video must I watch to find how to go into the resize AI feature?

How many hours of video must you watch? How about 5 to 15 minutes. Far less than the amount of time you've spent arguing with me about their worth. Had you taken 10 minutes to go to the video library you'd have found that each new feature has its own introductory video of 5 to 15 minutes in length. You been complain about this for almost 12 hours now. You tell me, what's your time worth.

BTW, I'm not sure you realize I'm actually trying to help you. I do not need nor do I appreciate the intentionally obtuse response you gave.

I'm with you on the need for a User Guide. The company did provide the Knowledge Base article New User Interface Changes - ON1 Photo RAW 2024 for just this purpose. Another item which took all of 5 seconds to find.

    Patience, patience, patience.

I know it might seem like the documentation should be ready when the product drops, but with an app as big and comprehensive as ON1 Photo RAW, that's not realistic. Coders are tinkering right up to the release deadline. And if you've never tried to write instructions, as one who has, it is mind-boggling in complexity and in potential to lead Lemmings (early video game reference here) over the cliff. You need multiple people to check, check again, and check yet one more time to make sure everything works the way you're writing it up.

There was a similar delay for the online manual for PR 2023, but the released result was worth the brief wait. If you don't like the documentation delay and inevitable early software glitches, which I have to say, as reported for this release so far, have been few compared to other major software and OS releases, don't try to install and run ON1 2024 PR the first day/week/month.

Well, we will wait a bit to have the user guide, no problem.
About the languages in ON1: Some previous versions had a user guide in some other languages besides English. Is there interest on the part of the developers for this to happen again? Regarding the translation of the program, in the case of the Spanish translation it is still quite bad and disorienting, probably because an automatic translator has been used. It would be very interesting to study the possibilities that AI offers to facilitate translations of the interface and also to have the User Guide in other languages.

I didn't find a problem and instanantly come here to complain about a manual. I'd already by that point spend 1/2 an hour trying to find an answer - which included looking for a manual as well as looking for the help on the website.

It might onlly take 5 minutes to get to the video when you already know a) that it exists and b) are already familiar with the resource structure of the website, and where that specific video is.

For others not so familiar with those things, the information is NOT easy to find. Or I'd have found it

And for videos you have to invest singificant time to find the info you are looking for is not included - such as the intro to 2024 sequecne of videos that I wasted significant time on to fail to find it. So yes, if you happen to find and watch the correct video first time, it might onlly be 5 minutes. But there are hours of. videos to find - most of which don't have the needed info - and no way to find out without watching them.

Videos are not indexed. Nor do they have a teble of contents.

    Hello Brian and Rick

In the European Union, and especially in France, it is a legal requirement to supply a manual in the user's language with every product sold. A company that fails to meet this obligation is liable to prosecution.  And the fact that ON1 indicates prices in euros clearly shows that European consumers are being targeted.

The videos on offer are far from exhaustive, especially as many of them are more advertising teasers than technical information. The entire promotional campaign leading up to the release of the 2024 version has raised public expectations. But it's clear that, in many respects - the absence of a manual being the most obvious - the product being sold still smacks of beta. Not to mention, of course, the messy licensing process...

Having said that, I really appreciate the increased speed of the new version.
