Are Topaz DeNoise AI and Topaz Sharpen AI plugins no longer supported in on1 2024 Max?

I have had no issues with Sharpen or Photo AI. I have not used Denoise since upgrading to V2024. This has been with raw files exclusively. But sending them as tiffs has not been a problem either. Later today I will try Denoise and also test on some JPEGs. I have also used them as layers within the edit module.

Have you checked that you have the most recent version of the Topaz products, even though they haven’t been updated in awhile? Also, have you made sure that you have the correct version of the plug-in file in the correct folder and in ON1 PhotoRaw 2024?

Why are you using the Send To… command? Just install and use their Photoshop plug-ins and use them that way? The tricky part is getting the plug-ins installed.

I don't know how to do it on Windows but on the Mac we have to actually open up the application folder (the program icon is actually a specialized type of folder that will launch the program instead of opening its folder) to find the plug-ins folder inside then we can copy/paste them to the Photo RAW plug-ins folder. I would take a look at the application folder and see if they are there.

If you have any Adobe products installed you could also look in one of their plug-ins folders and copy them from there or just point Photo RAW to that folder. See page 275 in the User Guide for info on how all of that works.

I just tried using the Send To… command and I was able to send everything except PSD files. TIFFs and jpegs worked just fine for me. This is in the latest build released on the 21st.

Thanks for that Brian: saves me doing further testing!

One of the (few) advantages of TPSI over SAI is that you can send the original file and it’s not overwritten. I actually prefer this to using layers and creating an onphoto file since these tend to be much larger. But I guess it’s all a matter of how one sets up one’s workflow

I have Sharpen AI 4.1 and DeNoise AI 3.72. I just selected the .exe files for the Send To option which is what I thought I had done in 2023, but I'll check for plugins in Phoroshop folder.

Well I swear I did the exact same steps as last night by using Send To > Topaz ... and today it does work when saving as TIF. However, Send to still does not work if I select PSD (8 or 16 bit). I can live with using TIF but I thought it used to work with PSD in 2023 but am not positive since I could have been using LR.

You're misremembering something. You were never able to send PSD to Topaz. Maybe to some other program but not Topaz. It says right there in the error message that they are not supported.

I can send psd files to Denoise and Sharpen but Giga pixel needs tiff

You cannot send PSD images, you can edit a PSD in another application such as PS or AP and call them as a filter but you are not sending a PSD only a requested file type.
