I have a Dell XPS desktop computer with the following specifications and yet ON1 2024 (this is my 1st time purchase) on my computer is extremely slow.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 Processor
HDD: 2TB 7200RPM 6Gb/s SATA drive
O/S: Windows 10 Professional
Chassis: XPS 8930, Mainstream Chassis ( 460W)
Graphics : Intel(R) UHD Graphics 730 with shared graphics memory
RAM: 32GB, DDR4, 2666MHz
For example: At times when I click on edit button to edit a RAW file it takes some time to open and when I touch "NoNoise AI" or "Portrait AI" any thing connected to AI it takes a very long time to respond. Yesterday I touched these modules with my mouse and it took almost 15 minutes to respond or show me the image where in I could do some touch ups. The hard drive spins and makes a heavy churning noise. I had the same issue with Topaz AI software too (when trying out various Image Editing softwares before settling down with ON1). Honestly my computer would come to a stand still with that software forcing me to uninstall it completely.
As far as I can see on ON1's site my computer meets the minimum requirements. I am a programmer by trade so I do have other software related to my trade viz., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Discord, Docker etc., I don't presume or believe that these are slowing down or standing in the way of ON1 software.
Does any one of you face the same issue and if so how did you mitigate it?
