Yes, don’t scan in black-and-white. Photo RAW requires images to be in an RGB colorspace.

I have a script with which I can change the black-and-white color space to RGB. Simply drop our tiff fill on the script and the color space will be updated. If you want I can share it with you.

On Mac you can use Automator, very easy.

I have an Automator script. All I have to do is right click on the image and choose RGB color profile. I’ll post it if anybody wants it.

This is what it looks like in Automator if you'd like to try creating your own.

    The download link is https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/k0miinn4ajcpwytp844ii/h?rlkey=6u3vbr1cpkyoxm3ql7oru3b8x&dl=0

Place it in your Services folder at ~/Library/Services. To use it right-click on any image file and go to the Quick Actions sub-menu then choose the Apply Adobe RGB Profile command.
