    Steve, I'm assuming your using the borders filter here. In addition to the normal adjustments on that filter, you can also click the little gear at the top to open the blending options. I think what you're looking for might be in there.

    I think that Frame in this case has nothing to do with Borders....
    Dark frame is related to a completely black capture that is used to be merged with another image, so that noise pattern can be erased from the second one.
    I do not know how to do it myself, but I remember having obtained the same result in the past, using the HDR feature.
    Try using the HDR tool with both the desired image and the Dark Frame image, and tell us what happens....

    Or applying the Black capture as a texture effect with subtraction blend mode, or is that something altogether different again? ;)

    Interesting. Clearly I know nothing about dark frames! But I know they've never been mentioned as supported in On1. Just from Franciscos description, if there is any merging in On1 it'll be in layers. You could lod them up there and experiment with the different blending modes.

    Thank you, Pete and Rick. I will try with both Layers and Effects next time I get a Dark Frame.
