ON1 Photo RAW 2018 Effects clipping view

  • Official comment

Hey Guys, This is a known bug in the current version of the Photo Raw 2018. We will be resolving this minor problem in future free updates. In the meantime, you should be able to toggle clipping on/off by going to View tab at the top > Show Clipping.

I can not get the clipping triangles to work either, I've just been using the J key.

I'm hoping it's fixed on the next updated version.

It’s been acknowledged as a bug in the latest version

That's good! It's kind of a reflex now to use the J key but it'll be nice to have this fixed so I don't have to use two hands! lol

Using the offered workaround is not working for me.

I use a Wacom tablet and I programmed a button with "define keystroke" and the keys are "{Alt}j" and I named it Toggle Clipping. It did not stop working with the new version of PR. I can get to that button a lot quicker than I can use the keyboard.

And since PR resets the clipping whenever you switch to another effect (not something I like), even though it is toggling the clipping, it is a very short toggle. :)

I'm using PR 2020 and it still doesn't work as expected. The triangles sometime show clipping and sometimes not - they simply don't react on clicking them.

Using the triangles to show clipping is kind of hit and miss. I find more of a press rather than a simple click works better. What works best for me is to press the J key for a temporary display or Option-J to turn it on for permanent display. Pressing J again will turn it back off.

The clipping triangles still only work about 40% of the time in 2020.6. It has been 2 years and 2 whole version releases, and this still hasn't been addressed.

Using either Alt-J or the menu option, changing the clipping always works.
