Star rating in a catalogued folder does not duplicate across machines

So I have a desktop and a laptop which I ended up cataloguing some folders so previews are faster. I found without a catalog it processed the preview every time and I had to wait for it to generate every time. Performance improved a decent amount.

I sync these folders via a cloud service, so sidecar files etc all replicate.

My problem is if I rate files with a star or colour tag it doesn't duplicate. It used to before the catalogue. Sidecar files are still being created and edits duplicate. Why not metadata?

  Hey Rob, when you say you still have sidecars, are you referring to .On1, .xmp or both? It's the .xpm that contains metadata. Xmps are explained on page 45 of the user guide. Looks like they should work the way you want them to.
