Editing in Layers

When adding a second (top layer) in Layers the image is heavily cropped and I can't find a way of resizing. Any workarounds?

  On1 sets the canvas size to the first layer added, so if you add another layer that's a different size it may look bigger or smaller than it should.

  You can resize any layer by clicking it (make sure you click the correct layer first) then select 'Move' on the top left. That will allow you to make that one layer bigger or smaller, however if the canvas set by the first layer is too small you'll need to increase it. You can adjust the canvas size to give you more room to work from the Edit menu. I think it's greyed out until you have 2 or more layers loaded. Canvas size is described on page 155 of the user manual.

  Don't forget to re-crop your finished product to remove the extra canvas.
