If you're having a problem with BOTH programs, you'll want to do some checking on your PC. In windows you can open the properties for a drive and tell it to do a check. Windows also has a memory diagnostic.

I can't find any reference to error (-1) in the FAQs. To me it sounds like something is corrupt somewhere. Uninstalling and re-installing may not fix a broken database, but I'm just guessing.

If no one else here has any good suggestions you'll probably want to send in a service request (link at the top of this page). Include your description above. attach the log (a txt file not a photo) and possibly attach one of the jpgs that won't open.

Thanks for the response Rick, the Exposure seems to be back in line. It's the On1 that is completely jacked up. I tried to do a print screen, but nothing happened.  I did send in a request, actually two, this morning, but nobody responded back. Other than the VA, this printing business is my only income. I tend to work 10 hours a day, but now I'm stuck with nothing. I'll keep trying, but it don't look good!

I just discovered that there does not seem to be a way to search these support forums.....

Thanks Kevin, all of these photos used to open, but now they don't even show up! Just a black square with the file name. It's only the JPGs. System freezes as well.

Kevin (#1), it's Friday. On1 won't be able to get back to you till next week. They WERE responding within 24 hours, but it seems to be more like a day or 2 now.

Jpeg files will not open in ON1 unless they have 16m colors. Look for a previous post about that. I had a bunch of scanned jpegs that would not open in ON1. I used Irfanview to bump the color space up and then everything was fine. You can search for Irfanview in these groups and you should find that thread.

I am not sure that will fix your problem, but I recognize that icon (Lol) that Browse shows.

One last thing... not that this is going to help anyone here. An error of (-1) could be 0xFFFFFFFF and the debug print statements are treating the error as a signed integer instead of an unsigned integer. Programming geek speak here. Or it really can be a -1. A lot of times a function will return a -1 and then a completely different system wide value must be used to narrow down the error.

    -1
