ON1 Site Login Issue

Actually, this problem has been around and reported by many folks. Once you get logged in, you stay logged in for a few days.

When I came to answer this post, it asked me to sign in. I clicked on the sign in link, and then this page was refreshed and I was given a box to enter my response. I never actually entered my username and password, because as you already noted, it was a false alarm and somehow figured out that I was already logged in (from a few days ago).

So basically, I when I get a username and pwd prompt, I know my login has expired and I login back in with my username and password. If I get that same prompt again immediately, I usually close the tab in the browser, and open a new one and go back to the page I was trying to get to and it works.

For instance, and this happens a lot, I get an email from the On1 forum, or the ON1 plus forum with a post or question. If I click on the link in the email AND that link asks me to login, I do login. If after that, it seems to be in an endless loop of making me login, I close the tab, go back to the email and click on the link a second time. This time, I get to the post without being prompted to login.

This problem has been around for at least 6 months and ON1 is aware of it. It does not impact all users and some of the software that ON1 uses on their web site is commercial software, so they are probably working the issues with the vendor.

In addition to Kevins post, I would ask what browser you're using. I have the exact same problem with a different site and it only happens with Firefox. If I use any other browser, the problem doesn't occur. From what I can tell, it's some problem with reading cookies correctly.

Seems we are talking about two different ON1 logins (very frustrating setup). There is the ON1 Site where you have the normal forum, training, ON1 Plus, etc. This is the site I am having problem with. I have tried both Firefox and Explorer. Then there is the support site where this support forum resides. I know they are connected but require separate logins (you do use the same ID and Password). I never have problems accessing these pages.

I am using Chrome. I have access to ON1 Plus too and that gives me this problem too. Mainly via the ON1 Plus forum emails and me trying to go and post responses. I mentioned that. You could try clearing the cookies for ON1. But I do not bother with that anymore and usually either closing the tab, or exiting the browser and letting the email link open it back up, fixes the problem for me.

I am having the same problem using safari.   Cannot get to login page or when I do it does not let me know I am logged in.

There was a huge issue here yesterday when I, and others it seems, could not log in and even the activation of PhotoRaw dropped and it reverted to expired trial status. All attempts to log in to ON1s website or to sign in via PR failed. It is all ok now and was a server issue at ON1's end. They have acknowledged this. I was not happy at not being able to use software I had paid for - why should it be internet dependent? ON1 are looking onto this.

Where did On1 acknwledge that it was one of their servers that failed? I've seen nothing about it and as usual, the numerous posts about it on Facebook have been deleted.

I messages them on FB and on Twitter. Their response told me what happened. I dislike this tendency of ON1 to delete bad news from the public domain, where they can. In this instance the normal support channels were unavailable due to the outage.
