Can layers be edited?

    It depends on what you mean by 'edit'.

    You can select any layer and take it into effects to make changes and then return to layers with those changes applied. Smart layers are described on page 8 of the User manual (Aug 2018)

    If you mean working on a layer other than the top one, just turn off or reduce the opacity of the layers above it. Click the layer to activate it before making any edits. Layer Visibility is on page 156 of the User Manual (Aug 2018)

    There are plenty of videos that show how to use layers, just go to Youtube and search for 'On1 layers'. I'm sure you'll find something useful.

    Thanks, no what I am talking about is the ability to make changes to a layer without leaving the layers module, so that you can see your changes in relation to the other layers. However, it appears that ON1 2019 addresses this very issue.
