One of the biggest gripes I have with On1 is the installation and directory structure. To start with, you cannot choose an installation path, it is always installed on your system disk. I can move the browser cache and scratch folder (whatever that is, as it never seems to contain anything) to another drive but I am still left with a whopping 5GB ON1 folder on C:. I know 5GB isn’t much these days, but if you have a smallish SSD as system drive, it is a lot. In the past, I have got around this (it used to be much worse) by using symbolic links, but this shouldn’t be necessary. As an ex-software developer, I would always let the user to choose the installation directories, and would never force the system disc on them. Right, got that off my chest.
