Lost the layers panel, but found it again

Suddenly the layers panel (right side) was gone, whatever format I opened (DNG, RAF etc)
It came back when I duplicated a layer from the menu. 

Little bug I think, cause all the pictures I opened afterward in develop did have the panel.

  I just discovered that the Windows menu has an option to hide the Layers header. If it's hidden when you go to browse it will come on again when opening a new photo. Also it does come back when you duplicate a layer. It works as you describe, so not a bug.

  You are right, not a bug.

  Until now I found everything in the excellent UI, will have to learn tock menus too. ;-)
