In my previous post I described this problem as "missing thumbnails." I left ON1 Browse running for 20 hours and still the thumbnails for many subfolders were missing. This is playing hell with my production schedule, btw. ON1 Browse has never failed on me before. I need to review over 1000 images to pull selections for xmas print jobs and the tool is just plain broken. Aieee.
In investigating this problem today I have discovered that it is even more disturbing than I thought. These thumbnails are not just missing, they are appearing and disappearing during a session and from session to session with the app. I can view a folder that has good thumbnails, walk through the images (using single-image view and arrow keys), select some as print candidates ("like"). When I exit and start the app up again, that folder now has NO thumbnails, yet it retains the "heart" icons that record my "like" of selected photos.
Also, I have seen thumbnails in folder Foo on a first quick glance (not looking at any photo in detail), then opened folder Bar and viewed photos in detail, then returned to folder Foo and the thumbnails are gone! They are disappearing while I am actually using the app.
Something is very wrong here. I have never seen this before. Is this a High Sierra issue?
