I see this too. It seems very random and if I select the blank thumbnail and edit it, I see the image fine. But when I go back to browse, it is still empty. And I have played around with Fast vs Accurate too. But to be honest with you I am seeing some really serious performance issues in just the last couple of days. Particularly while in Browse. It seems that if I go into a catalog folder with a lot of images and try and scroll down in browse, the computer just basically acts like it was an computer from 20 years ago. Horrendous. I do not know what causes this all of a sudden issue. But missing thumbnails seems to be a sign of some serious, serious problems in Browse.

Are you using any filters on these folders? I was filtering on color label in a large folder and saw what you describe for a long time until the filter finally worked through. Imagine filtering on a non-indexed field caused it to look at and discard every file individually.

I don't know how to use filters yet, so I think the answer is No.

For the moment, I've switched back to Adobe Bridge (don't love it, but at least it works!) -- now I can review my year's worth of images, give them "stars" from 0 to 5, and make a "smart collection" of everything that has stars.  I prefer the UI of ON1 but it's just unusable with this "vanishing thumbs" problem.

No filters for me either. I do know how to use filters and they were not on. The blank thumbnails are totally random and they will change as ON1 see's fit to hide other ones instead.

Mind if I ask what sort you were using? Just trying to figure out where the differences are. My system works fine in those areas with mediocre computer stats, but I have slowdown in other areas that some others don't

Here is what I am seeing, Blank thumbnails does not matter what catalog I was clicking on. They just disappeared. Also when the thumbnails were there i would click on the bottom thumbnails to load the image in filmstrip view in develope the same image would stay in the view window other images that I clicked on would not load in the viewing window.

Same or similar problem.  Thumbnails were there when I exited the program 6 hours ago, now when I reopen the program all the thumbnails are gone.  Just the black boxes where the thumbnail should be.  File name shows when I mouse over the black boxes, but never a thumbnail.  Worked fine for several weeks now all the suddon no thumbnails.  BIG BIG problem.  Almost impossible to work with the program if you cannot see the thumbnails in the Browse function.  2019 latest version.

2021 working perfectly as did 2022 for two weeks.  The NoNoise incredible.  But then all images disappeared, it struggles to didplay the file structure and only shows some thumbnails for some folders.

A real mess.  I was thinking of migrating 'lock, stock and barrel' to LR and PS.

Bill, what are your system specs?

Have you gone through setting the video card drivers and the OS graphics settings so Photo RAW can take full advantage of what your system has to offer?

You might want to talk with tech support about this.

I'm running w Windows 11 machine and have never seen this behavior.

A couple of questions for those that having this issue. Do you see the same thing on both the "My Catalogs" view and the "Browse" view?

Are you using "Fast" or "Accurate" Raw preview?

Directed by tech support to send Log File (see help Menu) as 'shift key pressed during start' procedure had no effect.
