Is there any way to export files to a subfolder?

You can define different sub folders and save them as presets, but they're not going to be relative to the folder you're working on. It will work as long as you have folders that don't change.

That's exactly my problem, they are not RELATIVE to the folder where the RAW is in!

I tried to set folder to a "./jpg/" name (which works in other RAW converters) but it's not allowed to create relative path!

If you're trying to use a dot in the filename, then it is relative and I've never seen any indication that On1 is designed to do that. In fact, since On1 uses a dialog to choose a folder, you don't even have a place to add anything like that.

After finally moving from Lightroom to ON1 with the release of 2019, I've started doing my exporting from On1 instead of Lightroom.  There are several things making ON1 more awkward than Lightroom.  The biggest is the fact that, when in the export dialogue, the export path in the "Location" portion of the dialogue is NOT editable.  I have a primary export location, but each of my exports go to a new subfolder under that location.  My presets are set up with that primary location in the export path, and in Lightroom, I can simply edit the preset location path and add a "/subfolder"

I cannot do this in On1 PR 2019.  I actually have to create the subfolder in Windows Explorer first, and then choose it in the On1 Export dialogue Location area by using the "Choose..." button.

This almost doubles the time for me to do exports.

I have to add however, that I like the On1 Rename section of the Export dialogue much better than Lightroom's.

When you press the choose button you can make a new folder anywhere you want. (on a Mac anyway)

So the OP could create whatever folder he wants and export to that folder by choosing it.

Hi Lieven - thanks for the comment.

However, though what you say is true, the other annoying thing about this right now is that, even though the preset is loaded and a path is showing in the Location area, when you use the "Choose" button, the dialogue opens up in the On1 folder under Program Files (Windows) instead of in the folder specified by the export preset.  So, before you can export or add a folder, you have to navigate to the location that the preset is already specifying.

With Lightroom, the Windows dialogue opens up in the correct location, but it is unnecessary because you can simply add a new folder by typing it into the "Put In Subfolder" box.

This is certainly not debilitating, but annoying.  I am hoping the On1 makes changes in the future

    Hi David,

replacing LR with exactly the same thing is rather pointless to me.

The new UI is great, but indeed, some more possibilities in exporting (and printing) will come welcome. Let them surprises us!

Yes, I have moved to ON1 for good, and have ended my Adobe subscription, BUT if On1 wants to compete with Lightroom, they do not have to be an exact copy, but the functionality and user friendliness of their product should NOT be substantially worse than Lightroom.  IMHO, right now, the export part of On1 needs improvement.  I love the Rename area in On1 Export, but the Location of the Export area needs help.

It should not be a problem to make the "Save To" path in the Location area  editable, and have On1 create any folders you type into this path if they do not yet exist.  That is pretty basic stuff, and I'm surprised it is not there already.

There is no list, but there have been a couple of ideas submitted that need to be voted for. I suggest you go do that.

You'll need to scroll down this page there are 2 or 3 relevant posts there.
