The only time I've seen something like this is when the CPU is bogged down and the setting isn't updating as fast as I'm adjusting it. Have you ever tried waiting to see if the image catches up? It is a problem, but is it that the effect isn't being applied at all or just that On1 is lagging behind your adjustments.

I've experienced edits which were not included in export.  I went into "Edit Preferences" and changed the cache location (which had defaulted to the root directory) to an external drive.  This significantly speeded up my edits and I haven't noticed them not being include in my most recent exports.

Richard, that's interesting because I recently moved the cache folder from the default drive the OS is on, to a second internal hard drive.  I don't recall having either of these issues before I moved the cache folder.  Maybe I should move it back?

Rick, the CPU definitely wasn't maxing out and it isn't a case of waiting for the local adjustment to get processed because the system is still responsive and I can change other develop and effects settings and they show up immediately.  One thing I forgot to mention is that on some occasions the navigation thumbnail above the develop/effects panels will update with the change but not the main image.

Peter, If you look at the mask on a local adjustment it is black which means it doesn't apply to anything until you mask it in. I see you said "with or without a mask" but I need to ask are you sure you are masking the adjustment in ( turning areas of the mask white)? That's the only way a local adjustment will be visible. That is of course unless you invert the default mask ( the whole mask will turn white ) then the Local adjustment will be applied to the entire image.

    David,

I did double check that when it first happened and the mask was set properly and I confirmed this each time it happened - which isn't all the time.  Speaking of masks - another issue I've had is when changing from the greyscale mask to the red overlay mask type - that doesn't update / show either unless I turn off the mask and turn it back on again.  Maybe all these things are related.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried to move the Browser Cache from the root drive.  I'm trying to move it to a 2nd internal hard drive with more than 500 GB of free space, and I keep getting an error message "The selected location must have enough free space to move the cache."  The current cache folder on the 'C' drive is only about 2 GB in size.
