Opening On1 from Capture One Pro
AnsweredWhen I use 'edit in' in Capture One to style or retouch an image in On1 the files are not opening in On1.
I can round trip to Photoshop but I want to do the same with On1. It used to be possible, to go to "edit in" in Capture One and round trip to On1 successfully. Is this a temporary glitch or a deliberate policy. My curated library of 25,000 shots is in Capture One but I like so many aspects of On1 that I hope in the future to be able to use both applications in harmony!

Capture One is not a supported program by On1, but that doesn't mean it can't work. It's kind of important that you're trying to send a compatible file, usually PSD. I would go through the Guide and try to set up Capture One similar to the way Photoshop is set up.
Maybe if someone else here has Capture One, they'll have other suggestions.

Thanks for the reply Rick, I have tried PSD as before but it no longer works. I don't know whether the change is with Capture One Pro or with On1 Raw ?

James, if you told me that you're layers in On1 were being flattened on returning to Capture One, I could tell you that On1 does that now, but you said that they aren't actually opening in On1 and I don't see a reason for that. If On1 can open a photo from Photoshop, I'm sure Capture One should work too.
If you can't figure it out, there is no reason you can't open a ticket with On1 and ask them about it.

Hey Michael, welcome to the group. Nice to see someone from On1 popping in. Just wondering if you're just checking in or if this will be a regular occurance. It would be nice to have someone to calm the masses from time to time. ;)
BTW, thanks for posting in context and not at the top with that annoying green bubble.

Will be more of a regular occurrence now. You guys seem to like me, so I'll stick around ;-)
