So RAW 2018 was not perfect but very good IMO and I was not so happy to see 2019 changing to what it is because of the new format and was wondering what problems will be introduced. Based on my issues and issues I am seeing it looks like 2019 for me at least is going by the way that 2017 went - not good. I have been playing around with photos, watching Task Manager, Uninstalling and Reinstalling RAW 2019.2 and it is very problematic on my machine. I think I am going to revert back to 2019.1 and see if the issues go away, if not maybe 2019.0. Luckily I have kept all the 2018 and 2019 downloads so reverting back is as simple as uninstalling and reinstalling. We shouldn't have to spend hours debugging our computer.
I have sent support tickets in but as good as ON1 support is I think they are fighting too many bugs in the system. And some of the problems seem to be stumping them. The last Windows update solved an issue I have been having for quite a while with masking.
This is more of a rant then a support question. I'm hoping that another update with fixes is issued soon for all of our sakes but if history repeats itself a 2019.5 will be released with more features that may or may not work for everyone. The last 24 Mpix photo hung up my machine using 100% CPU, 100% GPU and about 8 Gb memory before RAW crashed - only 1 photo open and I was masking at the layer level using the refine brush. I don't follow the MAC end but it seems they are not without problems so these are not a OS specific issues.
It's a shame ON1 RAW is so user friendly and does what it does; hard to leave it for another program! Tried it after 2017 problems and had to come back!!
