That could mean the file is corrupt and On1 an't read it. You haven't said if you can open it in any other program.

If you need to, you can open a ticket with On1 support and send the file for them to try.

Hello & thanks, yes I can read them in LR or even in the multi-bugged Luminar !

So the files seem to be not corrupted

May be the files have a color profile On1 is unable to read. You can check it in LR or better go directly to PS. If your files have a black and white profile then change it to Adobe RGB.

Your option seems the good way: they all are B&W, from epson scanner grey profile except one with rgb profile even if it is a B&W file; the other tiff corrects are effectivly (? poor english) color files (old slides scans).

So I'll try to convert profiles later; if ok, I'll tell you ! Thanks for the help and idea.

That's obviously the problem. You photos must be RGB color mode, at either 8 or 16 bits

    Good catch hermann!

So after some efforts, I success changing the profile from Epson gray gamma 2.2 to Adobe RGB, it works, glad !

But as I use now ON1 2019 to forget PS, LR ans some others, I regret ON1 can't open these files (as it can't open files with extension name missong, cf my other post last week).

And is it a way to assign or convert profiles not using PS ? And with batch change ?

However you solved my problem, thank you so much !

I'm sure there are lots of programs that can convert those for you.

Personally I would try Irfanview first since it does batch conversions and it's free.

Thank you, irfanview is only for Windows, not for Mac; so I'll do it within PS or other if I can find one.

    Have a good day !

I have the same issue today with 2020.1.  I have hundreds of scanned BW photos in my LR catalog that I assumed would move over to On1.  This seems like a fairly important issue for users like myself that are migrating from LR.  It is going to be very time consuming going back in LR and resaving every BW image so On1 can see it, not to mention the duplicates I'll have to clean up.  Do you know if  this is something on anyone's wish list?

    Robert,

Yes it is. Go vote for it.
