Finding Faces Problem

It should only be looking for faces while in the portrait tab. Make sure that tab is NOT selected while you're switching photos. Only click on the portrait tab when you have a face that you're currently working on.

If you're actually not in portrait and it's still trying to find faces, submit a support request to On1.

Yes, you are absolutely right and it is working properly in that now I see that it only happens when the portraits tab is selected.

This was almost impossible for me to figure out on my own because I clicked the Faces button on the menu on the left side of the screen. I assumed that if I left faces mode and went back to view mode it would go away. What I didn't realize is that Faces Mode automatically opens up the Portrait tab which caused the problem.

It seems this is a feature you should be able to disable.

    Thanks for the help!!

But it is disabled unless you select it. That feature works fine, it's just a matter of learning how to use it.

I find this feature awful too. So slow, and with a miserable result in terms of masking. Eyes and mouth and useless too, the generated graphics have to be redraw, all this take a lot of time. Poor AI (but fancy).

And above all, the Skin retouching effect (along with its color range mask) is much more efficient. Some few Dynamic contrast or Local adjustment for eyes and its done.

I would love to get an optional Portrait Tab in the next version! And get rid of this useless feature and its odd keyboard shortcut: "I" which would be perfect for getting Infos on the picture at all time.
