Missing Plugins in PS and LRAnswered
What happened to the plugins that used to be in PS & LR filters to edit in On1 and resize in On1? Missing from the menus...???
Exporting from LR to edit in On1 2019 I find On1 shows the whole folder with all the images and not the one image that I wanted to edit.
I hate having to search through my many photos to find the one sent from LR.
I understand that On1 is working to replace PS and LR... but I do appreciate the simple exchange between the programs.
Thanks using On1 more and more...
Nothing happened to them.
What you're describing is what happens when you open a photo from your browser into On1, it goes to the folder instead.
The User Guide has sections for accessing On1 from both Lightroom (Page 12) and Photoshop (Page 10). Also you'll need to read up on how the functionality has changed from older versions.
Thanks Rick for your help.... What is the trick to get the plugins installed into PS and LR.... On my older Mac cheese grater today I was able using the beta 2019 to resize to On1 from the menus. I'm running the latest Mac OS on a new laptop i9 6 core with the updated PS and LR.
The only way to get the plug-ins installed is to install the software. Try reinstalling ON1 Photo RAW 2019 on top of your currently installed version.
From the User Guide:
There are two primary ways to use ON1 Photo RAW 2019 with Lightroom, via the Plug-In Extras command in the File menu and the Edit In command in the Photo menu. Using the Photo > Edit In menu gives you quick access to the Edit module, while File > Plug-In Extras gives you access to the Edit and Resize modules, and lets you open multiple images inside Photo RAW as individual layers in the Edit module.
ON1 Photo RAW 2019 is accessible from within Photoshop in two ways, from the File > Automate menu, and from the Filter > ON1 menu. From the Automate menu, you can access the Develop, Effects, and Portrait tabs of the Edit module, as well as the Resize module; from the Filter menu, you can access the Develop, Effects and Portrait tabs (Browse is not accessible from within Photoshop.)
I reinstalled over my ON1 2019.2 and still no plugins in the filter and Automate menu.....
What version of Lightroom are you using?0
LR CC 8.10
Just following up. I see that you opened a Technical Support ticket and were able to get the issue resolved.0
So... what was the issue? Inquiring minds what to know! ;)0
I moved the plugins manually from Applications/ON1 2019 /Plug-in-files moved files into Photo Shop Plugins folder....
I do hope this is a fluke installing trouble and not Adobe's making it hard to install 3rd party plugins into PS and LR.0
I've never heard of anyone with this problem before, so yes, sounds like a fluke to me.0
Thank you Brock - same problem. Followed your lead - it WORKED!!!! Thank you again.
Just encountered this same problem and this trick worked for me as well.0
I’m still missing the plug ins in the latest LR.... My partner with the same computer and IOS has the plugins under the edit menu in LR so she can switch back and forth with ease between the programs... I can send to On1 in edit menu 2020 but come up with the all the thumbnails not the photo that I wish to work on. Have reinstalled On1 2020 and see that it is installing in PS and LR in the install window. What is the work around for LR as I see no plugin folder to manually move On1 plugins into. Thanks!!0
Lightroom plugins go in the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Plugins. If this folder does not exist simply create one then copy the .lrplugin folders from /Applications/ON1/Plugins/ON1 Photo RAW and /Applications/ON1/Plugins/ON1 Resize to it.
I would also take a look at your partner's ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Plugins folder to see how it is set up. You could also copy the contents of her Plugins folder to a flash drive then copy those to your Plugins folder.0
I'm having the same issue with Resize not showing up in Photoshop 2020. I manually moved the plug in file as suggested above and it's still not working. HELP0
Alphonse, are you looking in the right place? Check this post from Kahlie above...
If you are looking in the right place and it's still not working, please contact On1 and explain the problem to them. You can use this link.0
Do you have a solution for Win10. My plugins do not show up when trying to go from LR6.14 to On1 2020. I can't even find any .lrplugin files/folders for the 2020 version. Only have those plugins for 2018 and 2019 version and they work fine. Every upgrade has been frustrating on this issue so far.
There is a copy of the plugins inside the ON1 application folder in a folder named Plug-ins Folder. You can copy them from there into the Lightroom plugins folder.0
