Slow Exporting
Appreciate this has been raised numerous times by a lot of people, this thread is simply to add my voice to this. I came to PR2019 from Lightroom and the performance when exporting is unacceptable.
Luckily for me we're in the rugby off-season and I'm generally snapping shots of the kids, however I am currently exporting 11 shots from the Easter weekend and it has taken over an hour. When the rugby season is back on, I will need to process and export far more.
It's not good enough to say support are working on it and an update is expected. Good customer service is about specified actions and communication, I note there are posts on these forums stretching back the best part of 6 months where people are complaining about this issue, so clearly it is not resolved and nor do we have any other information other than "we're looking into it."
I don't want to go down the path of getting a refund but I will if need be.

Not only is the export slow, the normal exports fails for me 100% on the first try, often failing every time. Quick export works fine but this is not what was proposed to us.

Not only have things not got any better with 2019.5, they appear to have become worse! Time taken to export 93 JPEGs from raw files (RW2) - no processing, just straight conversion:
Affinity Photo.....................................4 mins
ACDSee Standard 2018.....................9 mins
ON1 Photo Raw 2109.2.....................27 mins
ON1 Photo Raw 2019.5.....................33 mins
I very nearly aborted it with the noise the fans were making at 80% plus CPU usage!
I think I've been very patient over the last couple of years, but while I like ON1 as a DAM it's simply not reliable enough for me to trust any processing to it. I'm finished with it.

Is there any update on this issue. Will be flying out to cover a story in India and I'm interested in using this software due to the speed in browse for tagging but it will make no sense for me if the exporting is slow.

I'm currently considering this software but I'm doing some research in the forums before I eval it.
Has this export speed issue been solved in the 2020 version or is it still an issue?

There have been several improvements to the program's speed and performance in the last year.

The problem is in how to define "solved" and "slow". The best advice I can give you is download it and give it a try. See if the export speed is fast enough to suit you.

Hi,
I made every possible tweak, grabbed in this forum to improve ON1 performances, but it's still too slow in many operations,like exporting.
I.E. Capture one export time for just 23 images is around 25 seconds and On1 is taking around 2 minutes!
Just hope in next version 2021 dev team Improve general speed and overall performances.
