Two possible solutions to the scroll bar problem.
1. Set up scroll wheel on mouse in preferences to scroll
2. If using a Wacom tablet use 2 finger gesture to scroll (set up in Wacom prefs)
Both work great for me. Never us the scroll bars in ON1

I'm not on a Mac, but I can tell you almost every bug I know about has been fixed.
1 -
From experience, I think I'll wait until about at least September before I attempt to put this next version on my computer! LOL

I tried it and it seems pretty good. I even tried cloning at 100% and it didn't lag.
I think I want to try cataloging my files but I'm concerned about that end of it. There was a check box when starting up about looking for changes in folders .... could it be improved?0 -
Vinny, as far as I can tell, that checkbox just made a cataloged folder of my photography folder. It's the same thing I did myself in the older version. My catalogues are building right now, won't know until they are finished if there is any improvement.
I've been checking other bugs and most are working better, we can search for no stars now and also un-edited photos!
I still have a sticky masking brush though. How can I make a video of it to send to support?

Rick,
ON1 support had me use the Windows DVR to capture what was happening. You launch RAW then follow the instructions on how to record, it's relatively easy. One thing it can't do is if there are drop down menus it can't record them for some reason. I had shared the video with them trough a shared link on Google drive.
Here's the info on Windows DVR: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/social/record-game-clips-game-bar-windows-10

Thanks, I'll check into it. So far the jerky brush is the only bug I've found.
Can't find the new text options though, I guess they aren't added yet.

The new text tool options are under the Opacity button.

Can anyone download it or just Plus members? If anyone, can the link be shared here.

It is only available to Plus members, sorry.

I left my computer on all night to catalog my photos and it appears that the constant running is over!
I even turned RAW off and restarted and it said it was 100% done!!! I think they really did work most of the bugs out. Cloning seems fast even with the side presets open. Export still slow but seemed a little faster but not by much on a 24 Mpix Nef file.
Rick - I tried masking at local adjustment and Layer levels and it didn't stick using a mouse.
Overall, I am pretty happy with it ... good thing Luminar didn't work on my computer! :-)0 -
It's good to read that the first impressions look good.
A pity though that beta is only available for Plus-members. I think there are more than a few non-Plus members, including myself, willing to test out a few things.0 -
As a Plus member, I can not find a link. I suggest they mean Plus Pro. Not sure what Plus (Non Pro) gets me.
0 -
Robert, Plus Pro is not required. The download link is in the Plus Forums announcement. Note that in the announcement is a link to a dedicated beta bugs reporting page.

Martin, early access to the beta versions of the program is one of the benefits of being a Plus member. Free video courses is another along with prioritized tech support.

Thank you so much Brian, could not find that for the life of me. Will download now.

Brian,
I am aware of the advantages, but currently I have to little spare time to follow the courses.
0 -
Brian, thanks. I'll look again for the text options.
Vinny, I left my PC on too. My catalogues say they are 100% but On1 is still using 63% CPU while sitting idle. In that condition, it's hard to click on a photo and get into Edit, but once it's in Edit the CPU drops to 30%.
0 -
Rick, I turned ON1 off and then restarted it and that problem went away.
It is sitting idling now and it fluctuates between 0.5% and 30% according to task manager.0 -
Vinny, Ok, mine has been running all night. I'll try that.
also, Brian, I found the text options now. Very misleading, the icon looks like text size, not opacity.

Can anyone with the Beta tell me if the scroll bars are now a sensible size, and if stacking is implemented (as in Lightroom)?
Thank you.
0 -
Yes, no, & no. ;) Yes, I can answer. No the scrollbars have not been changed nor do we have image stacking ala Lr.
0 -
Gerry, the scroll bars look to be about the same size; honestly I never used them and just use the scroll wheel on my mouse. But trying to grab them is a little difficult.
And as far as focus stacking, I'm assuming this is what you're asking - it has already been implemented in 2019 and I don't think much was done to it for .5. There is a pop up that says they are working on improving it when you do a focus stack. If focus stacking is not what you're asking about then I don't know what you are referring to.0 -
I think Gerry is asking about the ability to stack images in the Browser the way you can in Lr. For instance, stacking all the components of a panorama, HDR, or focus stacking shot so they aren't occupying as much screen real estate.
0 -
Oh, my way of combating this is to add a subfolder so in essence they are stacked.
0 -
Thanks guys, Yes, I meant creating stacks of images. E.g. Images from a shoot stacked so you see just one photo in the browser. As for the ridiculous scroll bars, I use a Wacom tablet, and this evening I was trying to navigate a load of photos and it was driving me round the bend attempting to grab the scroll bar with the pen.

Did they add possible import of grey images profiles ?
0 -
Hi Mike,
I do use the 2 finger gesture, but you first have to position the cursor over the place you wish to scroll - left pane, right pane or the photos. I prefer to drag the scroll bar, it's also faster, if you can grab it! Ideally I would like it as the Windows apps do it, hide the scroll bar until you hover over it, and then have a decent size one.

One of my main issues is losing adjustments during export on a mac.
I wonder if that is solved.

As I asked 5 days ago, nobody could try if import gray profiles photos has been added ?
It's very unfriendly to have to open PS (which some of us want to quit!), for change the color profiles so ON1 can see and edit them.
