Fuji film simulations - Classic Chrome
I shoot Fuji XT20 and am generally pleased with the results I get from ON1 2019. The exception is the Camera - Classic Chrome film simulation which when applied always looks blown out to me. Is this how it should be or am I missing a trick here?
Thanks

Nobody? It would be good to get confirmation that there is an issue.
Tks.

I don't have access to any of that in order to make a comment, but if you think it's not right you can always send in a support request.

I will, Rick, but I like to try and confirm that there is a general issue first. Must be other Fuji shooters here, surely they are not all on Lr or C1 :-)

There is another thread about it here, I find that the Chrome simulation is acceptable:

Colin,
When using the ON1 Classic Chrome profile:
My raw images from the Fuji X-E2S 16mp camera are a sightly light but are very acceptable.
My raw images from the Fuji X-E3 24mp camera are definitely blown out, not just the highlights but the whole image.
There is no such problem when using Lightroom Classic CC with same name profile.
A support request is definitely required.

I have the same problem with classic chrome, shooting with a Fuji XT30. Hopefully this can be addressed

Not sure if this has any impact, but when I looked into 2020 further, having upgraded, I not only found it did not support my Fuji lens, my camera an XT20 was not supported either. Seems that Lensfun the third party they use for lens correction might be a bit behind the curve! Anyway have taken a refund and reverted to 2019 but will probably never use it now.

Colin, from your statements "my camera an XT20 was not supported either" and "taken a refund and reverted to 2019" It seems that you are saying 2019 works with the files from your XT20 and 2020 does not?? I found it hard to believe that 2019 supports an XT20 and Raw 2020 doesn't so I checked this knowledge base article and see that the XT20 camera is supported as a Tier 1 camera.
Are you saying raw 2020 will not open and process your files at all?
Edited to paste correct link.

By revert to 2019 meant that is what I upgraded from in the hope that lens correction would be sorted. But it was not so I have taken a refund and ditched 2020 and indeed 2019. Was never happy with the look of my Fuji files, they always looked a bit grungy/ over-sharpened, and that Classic Chrome simulation is awful. Back with Adobe now.

Coli, So bottom line - Raw 2020 does support your camera, you just didn't like the way On1 processed your files and lens correction was not there. Not saying there is any issue with that it's certainly your call, just wanted to be clear that the camera is supported.

It is not in the Lensfun database as a supported camera and neither is my lens. ON1 confirm the lens issue and when I queried the camera they were silent. So no it does not support my kit and the camera aside we are talking about a Fuji lens that is at least two years old. Hope that is clear enough. Add that to poor rendering and a rubbish classic chrome sim and it should be even more clear.

Yes if your camera is a Fujifilm X-T20 your camera is fully supported in 2020 as a Tier1 camera see this link.
Lensfun database has nothing to do with the camera only lenses. It is my understanding you can submit your lens to lensfun ( there are threads in here somewhere about the subject ) I know you are probably not interested.
This link shows all the supported lenses in 2020 https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033466092

I do not pay good money for software and then expect to handle the admin to keep the lens database up to date. I do not have to do that with Lr or C1. The lensfun database says the xt20 is not supported so what that means I do not know. Clearly ON1 are unable to explain.
