Create new Keyword

I can find how to edit, delete, add a keyword to photo that exists. But I have not been able to find how to create and add new keywords to a photo. Can anyone help...

  Just type in the new keyword in the Metadata pane. It can be entered in either the Add Keyword field or directly into the Keywords section.
