Any need-to-knows before uninstalling 2019.5 and re-installing 2019.2?

    Hi Pam

I had to do the same, after .5 crashed again and again, and again...

I used this script I got from the support team:

    http://ononesoft.cachefly.net/support/nukem/Remove_ON1_Files.zip

Afterwards, I reinstalled the .2 version:

    http://ononesoft.cachefly.net/photoraw2019/win/gm_6564/ON1_Photo_RAW_2019.exe

Now, I am working just fine again with the .2 version, but of course, I am less than happy about the problems I had with the .5 version, and that there seems to be no real solution other than to downgrade to .2.

    Best wishes

    Leon

    Hi Pam

I agree with Leon except export all presets to a new folder. Running their script you will loose everything you have setup.

Edits you have done using 19.5 are not backwards compatible.

I also had to downgrade to 19.2 as 19.5 did nothing but crash for me. It work for a few days and I really liked the upgrade until it started crashing.

    Hi

     - yes, of course, sorry I forgot to mention that. Here are the steps explained that are necessary to keep the settings:

Had the same think happen to me. Just froze at start-up. I have gone back to 2019.2 also!

When I look at all the comments and reports concerning problems with the .5 update it really seems the update was published for general use in a kind of beta state, for us users to test. I really hope there will be a new update which fixes all the problems.

For me, I am a Plus Pro member and this free update stuff isn't working. 19.2 was riddled with bugs, then came 19.5. Work flawlessly for a couple days and then starting freezing and crashing. Their solution for now is to roll back to 19.2, but the 19.2 they directed me to, so far, seems to be the most stable version I've ever used.Where was this version before 19.5 came out.

Apparently within the next couple days there is supposed to be a patch released for 19.5. Hopefully that one solves some problems.

Sorry, I took so long to write a thank you to all of you who sent very helpful comments: Ken, Leon, and Steven.

    Thank you,

    Pam

By the way, I reverted to 19.2 and had one crash using the older version as well! I did get a lot of instructions from Support about that, but just did not have the energy to try it!
