    Agreed, I've run SFC many times, also Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) and if unrepairable errors were found, then an "In place repair" which fixed my PC's almost daily crashing last year.

    For those who don't know, SFC can be run at any time and takes about 30 min. All you need is an Administrator command prompt, then run: sfc /scannow

    If your PC is constantly crashing or has unrepairable errors, you may need the 'in place repair'. This requires a good windows image which you can download from Microsoft and install on a USB, then run it from INSIDE your current windows. It will repair your Windows without losing any programs or Files. Details are here...
