Scripting and APIs?

I was a programmer in a former life, and would like to be able to extend or script ON1 for certain things.

For example, I would like to have an Export preset that would name files based on the content of the UserComment EXIF field. This is easily accomplished from the Terminal using exiftool, but doesn't seem to be possible from within ON1.

Are there any APIs published for extending or scripting ON1?

  That is something you'd have to ask ON1 directly. You'll need to send a support request to ask them.

  Hi Jan,

  As a current developper, I would also like to extend or script ON1!

  In particular to be able to synchronize raking between JPEG & corresponding RAW files.

  Any news on that topic? Did you ask directly ON1?

  Me too. I've been starting to use exiftool to write custom content into UserComment EXIF field from a python script, and would like a way to push from python>exif/on1 to create catalogs based on image classifier output, like PyTorch's ntsnet to classify birds.

  You should check the Photo Raw Project page and see if the idea has been submitted. If not, you can do that, but I don't actually see it getting a lot of support.
