Bill, keep checking the log files to make sure others don't pop in as the cataloging works to finish.

David, thanks,  David I am it's now cataloging all of them, again lol.

There is something definitely wrong with the DB as I leave the program it just starts cataloging over again the same folders, that I haven't touched,   the only thing that is touching the files is maybe the Carbonite backup program, which I'm pausing now to see if that helps.

    Thanks

Attempting a new install, I used ON1s script installed program but all the catalogs are still there, and it's still searching How to I remove this program completely off the system?

Did you mean the Un-install program?

This is supposed to do it but I think I remember something about a file or two getting missed with 2020. After running it, you could look through your PC and delete anything On1 related before re-installing.

The script (probably the same as you used) is at the bottom of this page.

I have documents identifying the pieces left behind by the uninstall script but I’m not at my computer right now. I’ll post it when I get home.

OK, time to eat a little crow... it took my daughter to solve this.

I bought a new drive to act as my scratch disk I formatted with the MACs utility, there were no errors.

She said "Did you try changing out that scratch disk" I said "It's a new one I just bought."  She said, " Humor me" so I got a used external drive that I used to use with my laptop, I installed/formatted for the MAC

The program works as good as it ever did.  OMG I shoulda known better with all my experience to check the simple things first.  I am quite embarrassed I must say.  So as of this post, things seem normal.

    Thanks
