That is where ON1 stores the browser previews you see when using the program. I recommend moving the PerfectBrowseCache and the program's Scratch space to a separate SSD drive dedicate to just ON1 use for those things. It doesn't have to be very big, mine is only 120GB.

Go to Preferences > System to make those changes. Quit and relaunch the program to set the change. Once you've done that you can delete the PerfectBrowseCache and it will stay gone from your boot drive.

You'll have to make that change again if you update to 2020.

You are very fortunate if it's only 4GB. My cache is set to 5GB, but the actual space taken is more than 250 GB. I also have about a dozen folders cataloged. Is there a way to reduce the size of the cache? I can't afford to have this continually larger.

William, the Cache Size slider controls a RAM cache. It has nothing to do with the amount of disk space used to store the previews which are stored in the PerfectBrowseCache.

2020 has the option when the cache is created to pick a preview size — Standard (the default), Medium, & Minimal (recommended for systems with limited disk space). Once the cache has been created you cannot change the size you've chosen. You have to delete the cache and recreate it from scratch.

A better solution is to have a dedicated SSD where you can move the PerfectBrowseCache and the program's Scratch space. This not only relieves the pressure on your boot drive it also improves the program's performance.
