Directory previews for nested folders
I have created the directory previews for a number of folders, but can only do so at the lowest level. If any folders are nested, the preview of the parent seems to be a random shot. There doesn't seem to be an option for Set Directory Preview in any of the upper levels even when the show sub folder contents option is set.
Is this just a function that is unavailable or am I missing something?

You can set the preview for a folder only if it contains images. If the folder contains just more folders you cannot set a preview for it. You are not missing anything.

Of course, you could always PUT a photo in there to use for the cover image.

AJ has a reasonable request. I shouldn't have to put a picture in there; it should be easy to navigate into nested folders to pick a preview. I hope this can be added in the future.

I've ask for this to be added many times and support reports that it is low priority. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe PhotoRaw is VISUALLY driven. All we're asking here is to be able to pick the image that we like instead of ON1 somehow randomly picks the image for us. Which is NEVER the one that I would choose. And then, lets say I delete that photo - sometimes from then on it displays a blank preview, sometimes it has crashed etc etc. When I Browse I want to VISUALLY proceed thru my Folders of MY IMAGES and MY VISUAL MEMORY of the MEMORIES I CAPTURED.

Is anyone else having their directory previews changed back to what ON1 decides instead what I choose to show. When I come back into ON1 most of the folders I have a chosen preview have changed. Not what I wanted to see, but what it somehow chooses. Has happened for the last few days on Raw 2021.

I have the same problem.

I paste a small edited Jpeg and set this as the directory preview. It is a simple workaround.
It is more difficult that when I copy from ssd to desktop the system sets different previews between the laptop and the desktop.
