ON1 Photo Raw 2020 improved Fuji raw improved processing?
As a Fujifilm XH-1 and X-T2 user the only thing that would make me upgrade from version 2019 is the claimed improved raw processing for Fuji in the 2020 version.
Can anyone comfirm that this is actually the case - preferably with some actual files?
ON1 haven't published any images showing the improved processing in version 2020 as far as I can tell, which I find odd.
Many thanks
Robert

It comes with a 30 day trial period. You can download and install 2020 to test its handling of your Fujifilm files.

Hi Brian
Yes I will download the trial. As it's an advertised improvement I would have thought ON1 would have shown examples how 2020 is better.
Thanks

There are videos showing the new features and improvements but I don't know if they specifically mention anything about Fuji.
Good luck with the trial, hope it works out for you.

Not sure if this is of use but a friend asked me to look at his Fuji files when I had 2019 because he had concerns about image quality. I came to the conclusion that 2019 was not fully rendering the files until an edit triggered it to do so. Of particular concern was the shadowing and colour fringing around multiple straight lines such as those found in telephone wires or suspension bridge cables. I looked at his files again in 2020 and found that there was an improvement and files were rendering much better.

Thanks for the replies. I'm travelling at the moment but will download the demo and give it a go when I'm back home.
I still fail to understand how ON1 advertise 2020 as having better rendering on RAW files, particularly for Fuji, but fail so show any examples.

So I have tried the 2020 version and find that the rendering from RAW is perhaps a tiny tiny bit better over 3200 ISO, but it's really marginal. The free version of Capture One produces better files.
I find 2020 slower than 2019 and much less stable. Many crashes. So much for the speed increase.
One thing I noticed that I thought is poor is that the presets now have all changed names. So in version 2019 (Daily Vitamin for example) in landscapes could frequently be used for a quick edit. Now in version 2020 there is only Vivid landscape (what if you don't want vivid landscapes?) with all presets marked VL1 to13. Why weren't the 2019 versions carried over with their names for continuity?
2020 seems like a work in progress which I imagine will be stable sometime in late 2020 - just in time for version 2021!!
