I keep all my photos on an external 4TB hard drive. I usually connect my hard drive before starting On1, however some times I'll start On1 without the hard drive attached if I just need to do something quick on an image that is local to my laptop.
What I'm finding, is that periodically, On1 will say "scanning files" and then start a complete rebuild of the image cache for the cataloged folder even though it and completed that task already.
Just wondering if this is expected, as I keep all my images for a given year in a single folder and it takes a *long* time to rebuild the image catalog for the entire folder:)
[For those who my wonder why I have such a strange digital asset management strategy, I come from using iView Media Pro which has the best categorization and searching mechanism of any tools I've used (including all the new ones). I'm super sad that it no longer works on MacOS 10.15 and it's one reason I haven't upgraded yet:) ]
