No more Compressed FUJI Raw support in On1 2020
It was just confirmed by the technical support that there is no more Tier 1 support for Compressed Fuji Raw files in On1 2020 and that there are no plans for it either.
This is really bad news for me, since my entire library from the last three years consists of this file type.
In the 2017/2018 supported file types list it says that "Support for the Fuji Compressed (XTRANS) FUJI Raw files was added in the ON1 Photo RAW 2017.02 update."
I don't get why they removed something that worked mostly well from 2017 to 2019.

They told me something similar about Nikon compressed .NEF files. I have to add a step now and it actually gives me a better image to start with then ON1 does. I use Nikon's free app to open raw files and export them into compressed 8-bit tiff files and then open them in ON1. I have no issues with getting better and sharper images, and especially if I can do it with one step.
Fuji probably has something similar. As long as you can view the raw compressed files in ON1 to pick the better images that is.

@Kevin, Seems like there is a free Fuji Raw converter. https://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/myfinepix_studio/rfc/index.html
It is powered by SilkyPix... Which is also the engine behind the free Nikon NX-D. Small world.

There is also Capture One Express for Fujifilm which is free:
