That's strange, should be 63,55 euro...

My price is EUR 81,99 from 93,99

I think Diane Abbot is doing the maths.

My bad. I was using a browser with a vpn in UK but it still gave me the price in euros though, with the wrong calculation. Another browser (in NL) gave me a price of 78,99 (inc. 21% tax). I still don't know whether or not to go for it, as I wont be using it until the Wacom issue is solved (if ever).

Just installed the Windows version 1909 and thought, what the heck, lets install 2020 on my main box. I am now a happy bunny; my Wacom works with pressure sensitivity with Windows ink, and I can click and select, although with the annoying circle at first pressure (tried all the hacks to stop this happening, but I can live with it). 2020 seems much faster than 2019 and I don't have any cataloguing problems after letting it run all night. There are still tons of issues, but  I can live with these until they are fixed, which I am sure they will be eventually. So I have just forked out my 78,99😁

Gerry, have you tried the steps in the link below to get rid of the Wacom circle they worked for me.

Follow steps for both "Radar" and "Splash"

    Hi David,

Yep, tried it but didn't work for me :-(

I do agree that €79.99 is a good price for an upgrade to PR2020. It may not be perfect for everyone, but it seems to be a much better version than PR2018 that I still use. But being Dutch, I want a 20% discount if I am offered one ($69.99 = €63.48).

Wacom/Windows circles... Sometimes the circles show up and sometimes not. But I did some more investigating and I think I am on to something. Not sure it will help you Gerry. I do not use the buttons on the wacom pen so I had them set to "right click" and I it seems that whenever I would accidentally click a button on the pen, the circle would show up. I did all of the same things you tried. So if I go into Wacom setup and set the pen buttons to disabled, I see no more circle. If I set them to right click I do not see circles unless I press a button on the pen. One other thing I have played with is the "Options" button the the Wacom Tablet Properties page. The pen mode button section does not seem to make any difference, but you might want to try playing with it if you have not already done so.

Ah, I get it. Thanks Gerry!

    $69.99 + 21% BTW = $84.69

    convert to euro: $84,69 * 0.9445 = €79,99

    Kevin,

Thanks, but same as you, tried the button route but no joy, tried everything. You can loose the circles, but then you get other, worse, issues. Strange that the Wacom works perfectly with 2019.2.

The way the ON1 marketing promote the PR 2020 sales giving a price without mentioning or hiding the applicabile taxes is really unfear.

I also discovered that price with BTW was much more higher than what promoted in the tons of weekly mails they sent since months.

It is legally required in the Netherlands that consumer prices should be advertised including taxes and other obligatory costs. Only for business-to-business, prices may be listed excluding taxes. I am not sure whether this is a European law or Dutch law. This way, consumers are protected against misleading prices.

I don't know if international websites should comply with these laws too. In the advertisement (ON1 website) there was no mention of "excluding taxes", so I assumed that $69.99 was including taxes. Only by reverse calculating the actual price, it was clear that the list price was excluding taxes.

I think it would be more fair to consumers if the text "excluding taxes" would have been listed with the $69.99 offer.

I live in the US but was a bit interested in what you folks are discussing about VAT because I have never seen a checkout system that did not show what the taxes on my purchase was before I actually finished the checkout process So I started my way through the purchase process and do see the amount of tax is shown even before you enter payment information.

I would think given the number of countries On1 might sell to ( first screen capture is just Europe ) it is probably difficult if not impossible to include that total taxes in the advertised price. That said once you select your country the sales tax / vat is clearly displayed. I do agree with Frank that perhaps adding something about taxes not included in price could be displayed in advertising emails but the price is clearly displayed before you actually purchase the software.

In the advertised website, there is no mention of taxes included or not. I understand the difficulty of including taxes as they differ per country (althuogh the purchasing process apparently can ;-) ), but the text "excluding taxes" could be mentioned.

It's pretty standard in North America to advertise only the price as every customer knows that taxes vary depending on where you live, so they will be added at checkout.

If other countries have different rules, then I suppose On1 should be following them, but this is how it works here.

I understand that the standard in North America may be different, but as Frank Schophuizen mentions, once ON1 decides to sell in the Netherlands they are legally required to follow Dutch law.

I've been debating to buy ON1 for a while now and figured I'd bite the bullet today as I came across a coupon code for -20% on Photoworkout.com while looking for ON1 reviews. I have to admit I feel screwed.
I expect to pay $79,99 because of the discount and then end up with a total of € 113,99 (roughly $120) because of the illegal initial deduction of BTW and the fact that apparently discount codes don't work for NL citizens.

I have also decided to purchase. "Only $69.99" resulted in €79.99 including taxes and currency conversion rate.

The PR2020 version is a significant improvement compared to PR2018.6 - I skilled PR2019 - especially on the minimum hardware that I have.

I would love to upgrade my previous version, but being on a budget at $80 with "$194.00" of extras the price is too high for me. It would be nice if we could just upgrade the core product at a lower price rather than giving away a bunch of extras which as a Plus member I already own.

I understand business is business, this is just my selfish opinion.
