The operating system thinks something is using the file you are trying to delete and passes that info along to the ON1 program which prevents it from being deleted. Try restarting your computer to insure nothing is holding that file in a busy state. I've had trouble with this after using the QuickView in Finder. Once it has been viewed like that not even the Finder will delete it until I restart or use other techniques to kill the QuickView process.

have you tried filtering files with ‘dislike ‘ (the x). That doesn’t seem to woek

I've never had any problems with using the Filters Pane. I use the Dislike setting to cull my own photos. I'm not sure why that wouldn't work for you. You might want to contact support about it not working for you.

oh.. and i didn't see a way to apply a rating, when i'm done in EDIT mode. I have to return to browse mode.

I think this can be done in Lightroom and luminar etc. ?

If you turn on filmstrip view while in Edit, you can apply a rating.

You can apply ratings while in Edit mode. Just press the hotkey for the rating you want.
