Restoring all 2020 Effects and Presets
I just had to reinstall windows again, doing a fresh install of 2020 I have a backup of my previous harddrive and want to copy my presets and effects. I figure it's not difficult but want to make sure I'm installing in the right location. Can some aid in the exact location i should copy to. Thanks

From what I can find, the backgrounds / textures go here (you'll need to find your roaming folder)...
C:... \Roaming\ON1\Extras 2020\
in one of these folders...
and the Presets go here...
C:... \Roaming\ON1\ON1 Photo RAW 2020\Presets
I would suggest that you just copy one to test and make sure it shows up in On1 where it should. The proper way to do this is to re-install each of those extras rather than copy them.

Thanks, Rick, I know its just a pain in the neck! I installed so many before my computer died

Are the Local Adjustment Presets also included in the "Presets" Folder ?

You should address that question to technical support Thomas. I'm not sure if they are in there or not.

I created a new local Adjustment preset and it's also located in the "Preset" Folder.
Solved !!!!!!!!!!

I have a related issue and still have all prior versions in the PC (Win8.1). I updated/installed 2020.1.1 yesterday (5/9/2020) and the presets were present and I worked on some pics. Today, the program crashed at opening and continues to not respond and there are no presets. The titles to the presets appear but when selected there are no presets. in any of the present folders. Based on this string I went into App data/On1 and looked for the On1/On1 Presets folder and it is not present.??? So how could it not be there today if it was apparently there before the PC was shutdown? Ran the antivirus and malware progs to verify there was nothing else going on...both PandaDome and Malwarebytes came up clean.

That's strange I updated yesterday with much reservation. Concerned about this situation for which I had to reinstall all my presets many times before. The update went okay my presets and extras were retained but I noted during the install that the installed program was uninstalling presets hope I'm correct in saying that and I'm guessing reinstalled the default ones. I am not aware of any to back them up using ON1 and reinstall. We need that feature at some point. Also, have not been able to find the location on my PC to where they are kept.

Kathleen, just try restarting On1 first. The presets folder wouldn't just disappear, so restarting might allow On1 to see it again. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest reinstalling. Make sure antivirus is temp disabled and you install as admin.
Charles, On1 doesn't uninstall presets, what makes you think that happened? It always installs it's own presets and should carry over any that you installed yourself.

Hi Rick something was happening while the update was running I could be wrong but it appeared to be some type of script either installing presets or uninstalling presets I I believe it was on uninstalling I remember seeing the word uninstall it came up pretty quick and then disappeared or I would have screenshotted it

it was also pointing to the directories for presets

Charles, I don't see in your posts that you actually lost anything. Install went correctly, right?
If you want to, you can check the InstallationLog.txt in the program folder.
