Histagram/levels
New user so excuse ignorance...
The levels graph displays a mess of different coloured blocks (red, yellow, white, blue ...) that i presume represent the level of different colours in the image. To me its a meaningless mess that conveys no useful data as I'm partly colour blind. In Photoshop/Lightroom levels are represented as a single white graph. How do I set On1 to do the same?

The histogram cannot be changed in ON1 like in Lightroom, sorry.

Many thanks for info good to know. Well the 'Auto' levels tool either works correctly and reliably or On1 is useless to me.

I don't know what that means. Photo RAW does not have a Levels tool. I assume you are clicking one of the AI Auto or AI Match buttons in the Tone & Color pane? I tend to use AI Auto but only for a starting point. I always make further adjustments to the sliders as I'm processing my images.

Im very much a beginner and dont have great skills but im beginning to think im in the wrong place. I found PS reasonably easy and intuitive, i don't think i have the patience for this. I cant see AI Auto and AI match just 'Auto'. I'll bash on a bit and persevere but...

Which version of the program are you running David? Are you running it as a standalone program or using it as a plugin to some other processing software?

On1 Photo Raw 2019.7 (13.7.0.8098)
Trying to use as standalone but do currently have active Adobe sub so PS & LR still installed.

OK, that explains the Auto difference. AI Auto and AI Match were introduced with the 2020 version. 2019 had just the one Auto button.
There are a ton of training videos here on the ON1 site and on YouTube. You can find one to cover just about any topic you choose. If you are a Plus member there are Courses you can download and watch. They are multi-part and longer than the individual topic presentations offered by YouTube and the non-plus portion of the site. I've found them to be very helpful.

Looked at 'Plus' £80pa. NO.
Bashing on and persevering for the moment - have until March to make decision.
