Iceland pictures with landscape of snow and icy waterfalls under a grey sky
Hi,
has someone suggestions how I can get a better look to my pictures made during my Iceland trip.
I was unlucky to have a rather grey sky on all my snow landscape pictures this together with the frozen waterfalls which also look grey. Only the cliffs add some colour to the pictures.
I tried different filters but could find a satisfying solution.
Is the only solution to change the pictures to B&W?
Regards,
Dirk

Hello Dirk,
The reference of a Iightmeter is 18% grey. The effect is that when you photograph both a black and a white surface the photos will look the same. They are respectivaly over and under exposed.
I understand that you have quite lot of snow in your pictures. That means that They should have taken with 1-2 stops over eposure (maybe you already did, I don’t know). What could help is that in Develop you pull the exposure slider to the right. With a bit of luck the snow will then turn white.Regards,

Hello Martin,
sorry for the late reply but your tip did bring a solution as I already tried that, thanks anyway
