Photo Mechanic 6 & On1
As an amateur sports photographer, I use PM6 to ingest, review and add titles and player information of the approx 1,000 photos shot on game day. I tag my picks, crop then colour and star rate them, reducing the selection to approx 100 for each of the four games shot.
I then drag the selections into Lightroom 5 before doing final post processing and exporting to SmugMug.
I am looking to move away from LR, not wanting to upgrade to the subscription model, but when I try to do the same in On1, the star and colour ratings only appear for about 25% of the photos dragged across.
Does anyone know if this is a problem just in 2019 and if it has been fixed in 2020? Unless I can get this sorted or there is a workaround, I guess I am stuck with LR5!
Thanks for any input/help
Cheers,

I haven't heard of this problem before. I don't know if it will continue to happen in 2020 but you can download it and give it a try for 30 days before you have to decide upon purchasing it.

How are those ratings being transferred? Are they embedded in the file or stored in a sidecar? If it's a mix of both, then maybe one method is working while the other isn't.

I just ran across this article on Keywords and ON1. Towards the bottom it talks about moving from other DAMs to ON1 and bringing their keywords with them. It says to be sure the other program has either embedded them in the image files or has written them to .xmp files for Photo RAW to find. https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028258951-Best-Practices-for-using-Keywords-in-ON1-Photo-RAW-2019-ON1-PHOTO-RAW-2020

There's a section in Preferences (PM6) called IPTC/XMP, perhaps you need to look if everything is configured.
