Hey Peter, we're just users, we wouldn't know that. I would suggest that you contact Tech support and ask them. Use the submit link on the bottom of this page.

Thank you for your reply Rick. Do you think it is useful reaching out to Tech Support over this kind of issue? I mean, as I understand, ON1 uses the lensfun database, and that one is not being run by ON1...

Yes, if it will be supported in the next update, they can tell you. If not they may be able to add it or at least add it to a list.

Typically the response from support is add follows where I asked for a Sony lens correction profile ...

"We use a third party database Lens Fun, when they add support for this lens, we will update our app to include support."

I believe the lensfun site on SourceForge will have details if it is on the roadmap.

It also has calibration targets you can download and print along with instructions on how to use them to create your own profiles to submit to the LensFun database. You can add profiles for any lens you'd like to see ON1 support.

This link (https://lensfun.github.io/calibration/) has links to pages identifying upcoming lenses and instructions for creating and submitting your own profiles.

I guess the question here is do we have the time to create profiles, it is time consuming, and are we ON1's customer or LensFun customers.

LensFun is an open source project and has no customers. And you’re right, it does take time to take the photos properly. ON1 has to pay someone to do that and then give it to the project. Or, they can wait for someone, not necessarily an ON1 customer, that wants their lens profiled to take the photos and submit them. As I see if, if I can help make the software I prefer to help better then I’m willing to do that.
