First Crash with 2020.1
After editing nearly 100 pix with 2020.1 (excellent results; best performance yet) I experienced my first system crash. Related to layer masking -- always a stressful area. Here are the details:
Wanted to replace a bland uniform sky so I used AI Quick Mask as a first step. The area I wanted to keep had some fine detail so I carefully masked around this on a magnified view of the image using the Zoom tool. At completion hit Apply and then Done to apply the mask as intended.
Some areas were in need of further touch-up, so I selected the masked layer and used the Refine brush to improve the detail at the edge of the mask. After a few Refine strokes the system crashed (Twice !)
Any thoughts on "why"? OK to use Refine on an AI masked layer?
(I reported this to Support)
In retrospect, a better way of capturing some edge detail was to use a Luminosity mask as a starting point, adjust Levels and Window , and then Refine as needed. When done, generate a New Stamped Layer for further editing. All worked fine -- good brush performance.

I've used the Refine brush on an AI mask but I'm on a Mac so there could be driver issues that I'm not seeing.
I wonder if it could have been memory related? After creating the AI Mask if you return to the Browser to save the work, when you return to editing there should be less of a demand on RAM both system & VRAM.
Let us know what support says.
