Wacky stuff is going on!
This is really strange and thought I'd share just for fun.
I was exporting this photo multiple times with different sharpening settings...
When I set it to 'Screen' with no other changes, this is what I got...
There are 5 problems with this (that I can see):
- It's very blurry
- The colors are way off
- It's SQUASHED in only one dimension which is not possible without using Transform.
- It has a border that I didn't add.
- The dimensions of the file are the same as the original with my watermark in the proper place as if there was a black color fill layer to maintain the canvas, but there are no layers applied to this photo.
This one is beyond me. The exports following it were all fine.

Rick, never happened...this picture needs an exorcishm...😱

joking aside, it seems that a preset remains in memory when you use Screen setting

Yes, the only explanation I have is that something got corrupted during Export and the wrong filters were applied. Its only happened the one time.

I am new to ON1 so I don't yet fully know what to expect. However I am seeing the same thing, particularly when using Sharpening/Noise AI. A "before/after" slider appears with a black layer behind. The image is also very soft.
What has happened and what is the solution?

Can you post a screenshot showing us what you are seeing?
Also, please tell us about your system. What are its specs?

I expected to see a before and after sort of thing?

Yes, that is what you should be seeing.
Which GPU does your system have and how much VRAM? According to the HP site it has an integrated Intel UHD Graphics processor but then it also lists 5 NVIDIA and 2 AMD discreet processors.
Have you made sure you have the latest drivers for the GPU Installed? I would get them from either the HP site or if possible (HP plays games with their systems that sometimes prevents normal drivers from being used) from the GPU manufacturer's site. Do not rely upon the Microsoft updates as they are usually several versions behind and can actually roll systems back to the earlier version the update contains.

The other thing I suggest you try is the Delete Settings File procedure.
If neither of those fixes the problem you'll have to contact tech support. Be sure to tell them you've done the Delete Settings as that is the first thing they will ask you to do.

When you say "that is what you should be seeing", could you explain please.

You should be seeing the before and after that you expected. Sorry, I could have made that more clear.

Thank you, that is what I thought, but I needed to clarify before I contact Tech Support.

Before you go there, what happens if you turn off the Filmstrip? Your GPU may not be able to keep up with the demand. You never said which GPU your laptop has.

John - GPU details, please.

Didn't quite mean to do that! Meant to attach.

Either way, it doesn’t answer the question. Nowhere in there does it talk about the GPU.

John, I'm guessing that the lack of any discrete video processor information in your system report means that your laptop contains just the built-in Intel GPU. Make sure your video drivers are configured according to "OpenGL 3.3 and Later is Required" - How to Update Video Card Driver (Windows Only) - Photo RAW.
